Sarah + Dave { Save the Date! }

A few weeks ago, my cousin called me up to do a very quick photo shoot for their "save the dates". They've got a wedding date of July 11th so we naturally chose to snap a few quick shots at the local 7-11. These two are so cute and so in love, I really cannot wait to photograph their wedding.

(um, I totally didn't realize my cousin was marrying Jennifer Aniston! hehe)

May { portrait series }

Recently I persuaded my friend, May, to model for us once again while we tried out some new techniques. This was an attempt for us to go for something more honest and real. I had seen this beautiful portrait of a girl with coffee in front of a well lit window and wanted to capture the same essence. This also helped to set the tone for the first half of the photoshoot.

i think there is still a vast difference between the mood of the original photo and this one, but i think i'm getting there!

the right one is my favorite because i think that's the most vulnerable shot of the day

in the last part of the photoshoot, jared started to play with light isolation (i don't think that's a real photography term... i just make these things up!)
